Our work: a calm website for the TaskAnt app
TaskAnt is an app for the jobs that come round again and again: watering the plants every few days, putting the bins out every Thursday. It is for individuals, couples and households, and it is free on iPhone while it is in beta, with Android on the way.
What the website needed to do
Explain a new idea quickly. TaskAnt treats a job differently depending on how it repeats, and the site had to make that click in a few seconds, then get people to download the app.
What we built
- A clear home page that explains the three kinds of task: ones that reset when you do them, ones on a fixed day, and one-off jobs.
- A section for each feature: home screen widgets, reminders, completion notes and sharing jobs with the people you live with.
- Answers to common questions, so nobody has to email to find out how it works.
What we did
Branding and web design: the logo, colours and type, then the website itself.
What a new business can take from it
If what you offer is new or a little unusual, use your home page to explain it simply. One clear sentence beats a clever slogan.
